چکیده

Abstract Background PD-1 checkpoint inhibitors are novel therapeutic agents in colorectal cancer (CRC). Immunohistochemical staining for CD274 assessment is standardised upper GI cancer, but not CRC. Methods Methodologies of relevant studies were scrutinized and meta-analysis survival CD274/PDCD1 performed. Furthermore, anti-PD-1 therapy clinical trial results CRC assessed with particular emphasis on assessment. Results 24 included. immune cells was associated good prognosis. tumour has heterogenous outcomes does meet requirements a prognostic marker. As marker response to therapy, Conclusion appear useful as methodology requires standardisation. the Combined Positive Score (CPS) used this seems logical method adopt. Thresholds remain be determined.

The anticancer immune response of anti-PD-1/PD-L1 and the genetic determinants of response to anti-PD-1/PD-L1 antibodies in cancer patients

The programmed death-1 (PD-1), a coinhibitory receptor expressed on activated T cells and B cells, is demonstrated to induce an immune-mediated response and play a critical role in tumor initiation and development. The cancer patients harboring PD-1 or PD ligand 1 (PD-L1) protein expression have often a poor prognosis and clinical outcome. Currently, targeting PD-1 pathway as a potential new an...

Anti-PD-1/PD-L1 therapy of human cancer: past, present, and future.

Major progress has been made toward our understanding of the programmed death-1/programmed death ligand-1 (PD-1/PD-L1) pathway (referred to as the PD pathway). mAbs are already being used to block the PD pathway to treat human cancers (anti-PD therapy), especially advanced solid tumors. This therapy is based on principles that were discovered through basic research more than a decade ago, but t...

Regulation of PD-1/PD-L1 pathway and resistance to PD-1/PD-L1 blockade

Immune checkpoint blockades, such as inhibitors against programmed death 1 (PD-1) and its ligand (PD-L1), have received extensive attention in the past decade because of their dramatic clinical outcomes in advanced malignancies. However, both primary and acquired resistance becomes one of the major obstacles, which greatly limits the long-lasting effects and wide application of PD-1/PD-L1 block...
